This absolutely looks like bamboo. Much to my surprise and delight. It didn't start out as wood. I wasn't even trying to make it look like wood. It was originally a digital sketch I had done of a flower pot on a table. One day I started playing with it, using geometry to pull it and fold it like taffy, play with different hues. Eventually this is what I ended up with.
